New @ Magika

New at Magika this week is the very cute Blind hair. There are often times in Secondlife when you want something a little different, so if ever you want to be blindfolded, whether it is for RP, games or photoshoots, then Blind at Magika is the hair style for you. The blindfold is also color change and can be changed to a wide variety of colors. I have said before that being a blonde it can sometimes be a challenge getting the right blonde textures but the blonde pack at Magika is perfect and every shade is fabulous. As with all Magika hair styles, Blind comes in a variety of color packs and demos are available to try before you buy.

Ballzyponytail @ Chantkare

Whilst looking through some photos on flickr recently I came across this amazing ponytail and absolutely loved it but had no idea where it was from. Then on a recent shopping trip to Chantkare I saw it there on the shelf and grabbed the demo. After trying it on I loved it even more and went to back to buy it. I love things a little different to the norm and this ponytail is certainly that. It is designed with very exquisite detail and is a fabulous style for runway and photoshoots.

Posh is once again participating in the 50L Fridays special offers. This friday brings two fantastic styles priced at only 50L. The first is Beat in Latte as shown above, Beat is one of the newest releases at Posh and is a very trendy short style with slanted fringe and finished off with this very cool hat.

Next is the fabulous Horror style in Platinum. Horror is designed very high at the front, with the sides tied back into a very chic ponytail down the right side. New Hair @ GARAGE

GARAGE is known for being a very cool little store selling everything from clothing, shapes, skins and accessories, and now it has moved on to hair. The first three styles to be released are pictured here above is Hair 1, a short style with a very retro bowl cut style fringe and part of the hair is tied back in the middle with a little clip. This is a versatile style and gives a very individual feel to any casual look.

Hair 2 is pictured above, this is a simple but elegant style. A long straight hair with longer layers cut in around the bottom. The is a perfect style for adding hats and hair accessories as there are no bits to stick out, but also looks very chic and stylish worn alone.

Hair 3 as shown above is very similar to Hair 1 but without the rounded fringe. A cute layered bob with the fringe falling down to the sides, whilst another section is clipped up at the back with a clips. This is also a great casual style and really sets off any outfit. New @ Tukinowaguma

Tukinowaguma is reknowned for its very exuberant hair styles from stylish updo's to flamboyant fantasy styles. Over the last few weeks there have been some fantastic new releases and here are two of my favorites. Above is the Kay hair in gold, a very dramatic updo encrowned in a jeweled headpiece. The attention to detail really is spectacular, creating a very distinctive style that will make you shine.

Another new release at Tukinowaguma is the Norma hair, as pictured above in white. The Norma hair is designed in a very avant garde updo style with an added headpiece. The headpiece is made with horn type sides and fits over the head with a very subtle spiked headband. With this fabulous hairpiece, Norma is perfect for wearing with fantasy outfits as well as for runway or photo shoots but it can also be worn as below without the head piece adding a huge versatility to the style.

New Colors @ Lamb!

If you are a fan of Lamb Hair then you will know there are two fabulous new colors coming out. Many new hairs are currently being made for the upcoming Hair Fair and will be available in the two new colors but as part of the 50L Friday, Lamb Bellic has put out two of her styles in the new colors each priced at only 50L. Above is the I'm a Romantic Hair pictured in the new color of Honeycomb. As a blonde myself I am quite picky over blonde hair textures but this new shade is fabulous and if you are looking for a darker blonde, which is quite soft and not brassy, then the honeycomb texture is ideal.

The next new color is Milk as pictured above in the Poppyseed style. The Milk shade will be added to the Grayscale Color Packs and Honeycomb will be added to the Bimbo Color Packs. Sleepyhead

Another hair that I did not have time to blog during the summer months, is the super sexy Sleepyhead Hair from Lamb. This really is a gorgeous short style just perfect for the summer, with messy short layers and extra lift on the top, giving a very cool and funky look. If you are looking for a distinctive short style to spend these last few weeks of summer in, then Sleepyhead is the one. Above it is worn in Powder from the Grayscale Color Pack but as with all Lamb hairs, various color packs and demos are availabe.

New @ Vanity Hair

New at Vanity Hair this week is the superb full wig version of the Makeda hair. The Makeda full wig is a fantastic alternative style, consisting of intertwined dreadlocks and color change braids. Perfect to wear with alternative and tribal outfits, as well as creating a unique and unconventional look for the runway. It's a cool and funky style and the braids, which run throughout can be changed to numerous colors with just a click of your mouse.

If you prefer not to have the braids running through, Makeda can also be worn just with dreadlocks as above. As with all Vanity Hair, various color packs are available and here the Makeda full wig is worn in Blond and Wheat from the Blonds color pack. New @ Digital Eyes

New at Digital Eyes last week was the amazing Mina Bun Hair. Designed with a very long and sharply cut fringe, smoothly swept back into a very unique bun. The Mina Bun is a fabulous high fashion style and a perfect hair for runway shows and photo shoots.

Morgan Kincess the designer behind Digital Eyes has recently re-done all hair colors and her styles are available in twelve fabulous colors from blonde and white to black and brown with some bold and daring colors inbetween. New @ fri.day

The latest release at fri.day this week is the very stylish Raina Hair, worn here in Anxious Blonde. A very simple updo swept back from the face into a big loose bun at the back. The front section of the hair has additional lift adding a very chic look and the whispy pieces of hair at the sides and nape of the neck giving that realistic feel.

The simplicity of this style gives a wide range of versatility and Raina can be worn and styled in so many differnt ways making it a must to have in your wardrobe. As with all fri.day hairs there are various colors packs available and demos can be tried by following the link below.

New Hair @ Bliss Couture

I received a notecard recently, which showed the new hair releases over at Bliss Couture and I really was amazed to see how fantastic they were. Many of the new styles are not what you would wear for a day at the beach but for any models, bloggers, photographers and people who like to stand out from the crowd they are perfect. Above is the Angelina Hair in Cannelle, a very big and stylish updo perfect for adding to any couture outfit to make it shine on the catwalk.

Next is the Horn Hair in Caviar, which really does not need much explaining as you can see how amazing this style is above. The Horn Hair has very much a fantasy feel about it and for anyone into the more alternative/fantasy style then this hair is a must. This new hair collection is definately a great addition to the sl hair market and with 27 styles in total so far, there is something for everyone. New @ Simply Britnee

There have been lots of new styles over at Simply Britnee this summer and here I have posted two of favorite more recent releases. Above is the Estel Hair in Arena, which I find to be my favorite blonde texture at Simply Britnee. Estel is a long wavy style with lots of lift on the top giving a very glamorous look.

Next is the Nita Hair in Red Red, which is again a very long style with lots of waves and curls gently falling down each side at the front, which is a very nice alternative to pigtails and perfect to wear with casual outfits. A Shiny Happy Update

I started this blog many months ago but due to sl and rl commitments have not kept it updated. It has always been my wish to have an up to date sl hair blog and with the 2010 Hair Fair looming I decided now was the time to get it back into full swing and add a weekly update of all the fabulous new hairs arriving in sl. With this in mind I decided to add a post of all my favorite hair releases since my last post on March. To start with it is one of my favorite stores Posh. Posh have released many new hairs since March but my favorite three are pictured here. Above is the Rosie Hair in Blonde, a very long style with cute ribbon and bow and below is the Diamond Hair, which comes in the regular color packs and also includes three styles of Bangless, Side Swept and the regular version as below so with the Diamond packs you get three fantastic looks in one.

Below is the Rumour Hair from Posh, I love the versatility of this updo hair, it looks fantastic styled up to go with formal outfits and also adds a very cute look to the more casual outfit.

Another of my favorite hair stores in sl is of course fri.day and they have released numerous hairs over the course of the summer, including the three below, which are my favorites. First the Kate 2 hair in Anxious Blonde. A loose wavy style with the front kept back off the face with a neat braid. Perfect for adding to many outfits for a cute summer look.

Below is the Scarlett 2 Hair in Anxious Blonde from fri.day, another light and loose style with the side loosly tied back and finished off with a color change hairband. Not only can the color of the band be changed to match with your outfits but you can also change the color of the metal studs or hide the studs completly to show a plain band.

Another favorite hair from fri.day this summer was the Summer Hair as pictured below in Anxious Blonde, also my favorite fri.day hair color. Summer is a very plain and simple updo smoothly tied back from the face into a neat bun at the back. This is a great hair for adding accessories to syle it just the way you want.


The last two styles i want to show in this post are both from Wild O, this is not such a well known store but the styles are very unique and the ones shown here i found to be just perfect for the summer. Above is the Ann Hair in pearl, a cute braided style perfect for wearing with swimwear or casual wear. What I love most about this hair is the textures and the sun drenched look, it gives a feel that you have spent many days by the beach playing in salt water, i just love it.

And finally, the nbo Hair in pearl from Wild O. Textured in the same way as the Ann hair, this fantastic style looks great with so many different outfits. A medium length style tied at the sides in loose buns.
