Shewolf @ (fd)

Knowing that the Hair Fair 2011 was coming up very soon, I had planned not to buy any new hairs but when I saw Shewolf at (fd) this morning, I just had to get it right away!  I am not sure how long Shewolf as actually been on sale but I cannot believe I missed such a great style. Here it is shown in both Peanut (above) and Salt (below) both from the Earth Color pack, which contains 8 fabulous colors.

What I love about Shewolf is how messy the hair looks making it great to wear with casual outfits.  It is designed with the hair cut into various lengths around the whole style, with the left side a little longer than the right and a messy layered fringe.  It is available in three different color packs, each containing 8 colors.  Follow the link below to Fashionably Dead to try on the demo's and check out the other amazing styles.

Hair Fair 2011 - Demo Group

As many of you will know the Hair Fair 2011 starts next saturday, only one more week to wait to get your hands on some of the hottest new hairs in secondlife, and of course proceeds will be going to the fantastic charity Wigs for Kids.  Last year saw the start of the inworld Hair Fair Demo Group, which was a big success and is up and running again for this year.  Designers will release demo's of their new hairs to the group before the fair opens, so you can try them on and know exactly what you want before even arriving at the fair.  With the lag and the amount of designers involved it is often easy to miss some of the new styles so by joining this group you are guaranteed to check them all out, without missing a thing.

You can join the inworld group by searching the groups section or by copying and pasting this link into inworld chat:  secondlife:///app/group/2e30d166-f3e5-e2de-ff72-b3da2d06ded2/about and then clicking the link that appears to join the group.

Keep watching for more information, landmarks and more.

New @ Wasabi Pills

There are many secondlife stores I hear about all the time but just never get around to checking out, Wasabi Pills is one and when I saw the latest new hair releases I totally loved them.  Three of the new styles are pictured here and all perfect for wearing over the summer months.  The first shown above is Vicky in Gingerbread, Vicky is designed with a messy layered bob with longer strands at the front tied at the bottom with little bands.

Next is Juliette shown in Lemon Tea, which would have been perfect for the last post on this blog showing braided styles.  Juliette is designed with shoulder length hair tied into cute loose braids at either side and held in place with little bands at the ends.  Both Juliette and Vicky are great casual, fun styles just perfect to wear for a day at the beach.

The third of the new releases at Wasabi Pills is Yumi, shown above in Rye.  Yumi is a really pretty summer style with the hair falling into gentle waves and a full fringe at the front.  Yumi comes with two versions, the first version without a bow and the second version with a color change bow.  The bow is fabulous and you have the choice of changing the bow, knot and band to different colors, perfect for matching with any color of outfit.  All styles are available in a wide variety of gorgoeus colors, and you can check them out by following the link below to Wasabi Pills.

Cute Summer Braids

Each year in Secondlife the hair styles just get better and better, with old and new designers coming up with new designs and textures all the time.  Over the year there have been so many cute braided styles and with summer coming up I decided to make a post of my favorite sl braids, all perfect for wearing with those summer outfits.  Above is a newer style from Maitreya called Lara II with color change hairband and elastic band.  There is another version of Lara available (see previous post), which comes with an alternative fringe.

Next is an older style from Shag called Let Me Kiss You, being a blonde I love the blonde textures in Shag and I love this style.  The hair falls down the right shoulder in a long and very loose braid, which looks like loose knots in the hair.  It is a great messy braid style perfect for your days at the beach.

Above is Jennifer 2, which came out last year at fri.day.  Jennifer is available in two different versions and is a very plain but cute style, great for when you want a simple look and perfect for adding flowers or accessories to without the hair sticking out.

Next is a fabulous style from Magika called Sofia, I absolutely love this hair.  Sophia comes with two prim parts, the first part consists of long wavy and flowing hair that falls just below the shoulders and the lower part is the actual braid, which falls to the waist.  So with Sophia you get two styles for the price of one and as with most Magika hairs it comes with a mirrored version.

Above is Cecilia from Truth, designed with the hair loosely tied into a long braid on the right side and tied at the bottom with a little color change tie.  Cecilia comes with a streaked version of each color where a few of the strands of hair at the front can be changed to a variety of colors by clicking the hair, its great for adding a touch of color to match your swimsuits or beachwear.

I only came across Raw House very recently and really love it, some of the styles are more alternative and great for when you want something a little different from the norm.  Above is Emily in light blonde, designed with the hair falling down the left shoulder into a braid tied at the bottom with a little band.  Emily is scripted to easily change size and the script can be deleted to reduce lag.

Last but most definitely not least is one of my favorite ever secondlife hairs, Ann in pearl from WILDO.  I first found this style last year and wore it every time I went to the beach, I really love the way the braids look a little messy with strands of hair sticking out, giving a look like you have just walked out of the sea.

I am sure there will be many more cute and summery styles coming along soon, especially with the Hair Fair 2011 just around the corner, and if you are looking for something to do while you wait for this years fair why not enter the Official Hair Fair 2011 competition.  Check it out here, you still have until 19 June 2011 to enter.
