!lamb's Lovage 50L Fridays!

Yep you read that right, this is a great week for any red heads out there!  !lamb's Lovage Hair in this gorgeous shade of Blood Fruit is part of this week's 50L Fridays and you can buy it at only 50L for this week only.  Lovage is a cute little updo style great for adding to casual or formal outfits and is designed with the hair twisted up on top of the hair with lots of whispy strands falling from the sides and back. As anyone who reads this blog will know, I am a blonde myself but my early days in SL did start off as a redhead so it was kinda fun to go back to being red today and seeing how the shades have advanced over the years, the Blood Fruit shade of red really is stunning!

New @ Tukinowaguma

New at Tukinowaguma this week is the stunning Youmei, a style reminiscent of the days of the Geisha consisting of a very elaborate updo style piled high on the head decorated in ornate jewels and japanese hair clips. I absolutely love this style and it's versatility makes it great to wear with other formal outfits too, the hair decorations come in a choice of five different colors and the hair itself comes in the regular Tukinowaguma color packs.  Above I am wearing Youmei in Ebony with the red flower option. New @ Vanity Hair

I always love to hear about new releases at Vanity Hair, which is one of my favorite secondlife hair stores.  This week saw the release of two new styles.  Pictured here is the new Blueberry Nights Hair in Blonde designed with a very cute braid falling just below the woolen hat sweeping into a long ponytail, which soflty flows behind you as you walk. The hat itself is color change with a variety of color options that can be changed with just one click and is finished off with three matching wool flowers at the right side adding a very chic look.  This is a fabulous autumn/winter style and will definitely be one of my favorites this winter.

New @ Magika

Two new styles were released at Magika this week, my favorite is most definitely Layne as pictured above.  Layne is a medium length style with long fringe clipped back in a little metal clip and tied back into a cute ponytail.  What is great about this style is that it comes with two versions, the second version is a mirrored copy of the first so the fringe is clipped back on the opposite side, which adds great versatility.  Layne is very cute and looks fabulous with a variety of casual outfits.

New @ Simply Britnee

New at Simply Britnee this week is the gorgeous Sonia.  I love long natural styles and Sonia is definitely very natural looking.  It is designed with the sides loosely swept back from the centre into very long layers with a slightly windswept look about it.  As with all Simply Britnee hairs, Sonia is available in numerous different colors and demo's are available to try first.

New Beer + Eggs Hair!

I always get excited when a new store opens in Secondlife and when the hair inside is really pretty cool, then it's even better.  So when I saw the first two styles from the new Beer + Eggs store I was very impressed and look forward to seeing the next styles that are to come.  The first style is Jane as pictured above, a long ponytail with fringe and finished off with a very cool cap with detailed tie at the back.  The hair comes with a tintable option giving you the option to tint the cap.

 The second of the two styles at Beer and Eggs is Bebe, a short style with a long layered straight fringe.  The sides pulled back behind the ears with lots of neatly styled little waves sticking out around the back of the head.  Bebe is very cute and stylish and has great versatility for wearing with various styles.  Both hairs are availabe in a wide range of colors, which you can check out by following the link below.  The designer behind Beer and Eggs Apple Edenflower makes hair for fun so for a fun project these first two styles really are fantastic and i can't wait to see more in the future.

New @ Discord Designs

If you are a fan of Discord Designs, you will have saw some fantastic braided styles being released recently, Amy as pictured above is one of the new sculpted braid styles.  The new styles come with matching hairbases so Secondlife Viewer 2 or a compatibile viewer is required to get the most out of these styles and for anyone who does not like the new interface on viewer 2 try Phoenix, which has the old interface but with the new layer options of Viewer 2.  

Amy is designed with numerous detailed braids alternating in size and shape, which are knotted to the head and twisted around in various directions.  The hair bases are designed really well to give a look that the hair is literally being pulled into the braids.  If you are looking for an alternative style of hair that you can have fun with but do not want to go fully into a dreadlock look, then these new braided styles from Discord Designs are perfect and they are avilable in numerous different shades and lengths and also a male version is available.

Eshi Otawara Hair

Eshi Otawara is very well known for being one of the most creative designers in Secondlife from beautiful  and elaborate gowns to quaint shoes and unusual skins, not to mention the extraordinary hairs.  Of course with this being a hair blog that is what I will focus on and here are two of my favorite hairs by Eshi Otawara.  Above is the very unique hair aptly called Perhaps Slightly Unusual, which reminds me of a more modern and unusual version of the well known basin cut and is a fabulous style for a haute couture look on the runway or for a photo shoot where you want to stand out and be different.  It is available in a variety of colors and demo's are available to try first.

Pictured above is my favorite of all Eshi Otawara hairs Zip It, reminding me of an up to date take on the famous Princess Leia style with a very long sharply cut fringe falling over the eyes and finished off with soft colorful features on each side.  Zip It is available in various colors, each with a choice of pink, green or blue features and is again a fantastic style for runway and print.  These are just two of the spectacular high quality hairs from Eshi Otawara, follow the link below to see more and to try out some demo's.

Sasha @ fri.day

The Sasha hair at fri.day has been out for some time now but with all the excitement of the recent Hair Fair I completely forgot until I just came across it in my inventory and what a very nice surprise.  Sasha is a very cute style, which hangs just below the shoulders in loose waves with a fabulous color change headband around the head, tied at the left side.  The headband can be changed to a choice of 16 colors and patterns with just one click and the hair itself is available in all of the regular fri.day shades.

New @ I Love Olive

The summer is over and I Love Olive are back with the start of some awesome Autumn styles.  The first new hair to be released at I Love Olive this week is Petra, a pretty updo style, which is designed with the hair loosely tied back into a big loose bun slightly to the right of the head with wavy strands of hair softly falling at the sides.  Petra is a great style for adding to more casual outfits and as with all I Love Olive hairs, is available in a wide range of colours.  It is scripted to easily change size and the script can be deleted making it great for lag reduction.

New @ Miamai

I love the designs of Miamai and if you have read previous posts on this blog you will also have saw many of the fabulous hair styles too.  Today saw the release of Onebae, the latest Miamai Hair Attachment to hit the shelves and once again Monica Outlander has surpassed herself by creating this spectacular haute couture style.  Onebae is a very sophisticated attachment with the hair styled high on the head and bound into shape by a very elaborate hyperjewled head piece.  Onebae is a perfect haute couture style for runway and print work and as with all Mimai Hair Attachments Onebae is available in a variety of colors as well as a choice of gold or platinum hyperjewels.

Lila & Miabella @ Maitreya

Today saw the release of three fabulous new hair styles from Maitreya but as I am a little slow this week, this post is for two of last weeks new releases at Maitreya, Lila and Miabella.  Above is Lila pictured in Scandinavian Blonde and it just has to be my new favorite secondlife hair.  Lila is a medium length wavy style tied into three loose ponytails with color change elastic bands and the great thing about these styles is that the scripts can be deleted, making it great for lag reduction.

 Next is Miabella, I loved this updo style the minute i saw it.  The hair is swept back into a high loose bun slightly to the right of the head, with lots of whispy strands of hair flowing out as if blowing in the wind.  Miabella is a very cute and stylish updo, with great versatility making it perfect to wear with a variety of looks.  Both styles are available in various color packs with instore demo's to try before you buy.

New @ !lamb

For anyone who happened to miss the Hair Fair 2010 you can still find many of the fabulous new styles now instores.  One store that has all their new Hair Fair styles on sale is !lamb and pictured here is one of my favorites Lovlier Girl worn in Ink.  Lovlier Girl is a long style with the sides tied up into a loose twist on the left side.  The long fringe falls down to the left and the cute little whispy strands of hair giving a very realistic look.

 

And for any fans of the Sugar Hiccup style then this is your lucky week because due to popular demand Sugar Hiccup has now been redone with bangs.  Coming from England we call it a fringe but I am slowly getting used to the bangs term so people know what I am talking about but if you here me say fringe, it is bangs I am referring to.  Anyway, the new Sugar Hiccup now has bangs and is part of this weeks 50L Fridays.  So for only 50L you can get the new Sugar Hiccup in either Honeycomb as pictured above or in Twix a darker brown shade.  Follow the link below to check them out and try demos.

New @ Simply Britnee

Simply Britnee have recently released four new fantastic hair styles, my two favorites are shown here.  Above is the exceptionally cute Portugal Hair pictured in Rubia, my favorite blonde texture at Simply Britnee.  Portugal is a great casual style with lots of gentle layered waves and clipped back on the left side with a cute little clip.

The second is Mara pictured  here in Bronze 2.  Mara is a long straight hair style with long layers cut into the ends and some strands of hair at the sides softly winding round to the back of the head.  As with all Simply Britnee hairs, both Mara and Portugal are available in numerous color packs.  Follow the link below to get your hands on these new styles or to try on the demos.
